Lax Sakalkale is a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor, cloud computing, and enterprise software industries. He currently serves as an Executive Advisor providing strategic guidance on product strategy, AI/ML solutions, cloud transformation, and growth initiatives to startups and established companies.
Most recently, Lax was the Executive Director of Cloud Solutions at AMD, where he spearheaded the company’s cloud strategy and led collaboration with major cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and others. He drove the enablement of over 400 AMD-powered cloud offerings, services, and ISV solutions across these platforms.
Prior to AMD, Lax held executive product leadership roles at tech giants like Cisco, CA Technologies, BEA Systems (acquired by Oracle), and Borland. He has extensive experience in cloud computing, AI/ML, hybrid cloud automation, data analytics, databases, DevOps, SaaS platforms, security, networking, and server technologies.
An alumnus of MIT , Santa Clara University, and S.P. College of Engineering, Lax is recognized for his product vision, technical depth, and ability to drive strategic alliances and partnerships. He has been instrumental in launching award-winning enterprise software products generating over $1 billion in revenue.
With his multi-faceted background spanning semiconductors, cloud, enterprise software, and emerging technologies like AI/ML, Lax brings a unique perspective to discussions around India’s potential in shaping the future of the global semiconductor landscape.
